I tried a local firm when i was dealing with back taxes and honestly it made a big difference. They knew the state-specific rules and were easy to reach whenever i had questions. I liked having that face-to-face option.

I worked with Tra Tax Relief last year when i was dealing with IRS letters. They did manage to stop the constant notices pretty quickly. It wasn’t cheap but at least i felt some relief knowing a professional was handling it.

I used Better Tax Relief last year when I was behind on filings. They did manage to stop the wage garnishments quickly but the fees were higher than I expected. overall i felt relieved but I wonder if i could have worked something out with the IRS myself.

They quoted me a few thousand after the initial fee and when i asked what exactly they’d be doing that i couldn’t the answers were vague. I ended up calling the IRS directly and got set up on a payment plan in less than an hour.
