I always check reviews but i don’t just look at the star ratings. I read the longer reviews where people explain what actually happened. Did they follow through on what they promised? Were the fees reasonable compared to the results? Those details matter way more than generic great service comments.

From my experience smaller local tax firms tend to be more attentive than the big national Best Tax Relief companies. With locals you actually get to sit with someone face to face which makes it easier to trust. The big names mostly rely on sales scripts.

I called them for a consultation. They explained things clearly but i didn’t sign up. Honestly a lot of what they offered I realized I could try doing on my own with the IRS website.

I tried them for a tax lien issue. It took longer than i expected but they did get it resolved. The process was not stress free but at least i didn’t have to deal with the IRS myself.
