The main thing i would ask them is how long the process usually takes. Some companies drag cases out for months while charging ongoing fees. If Tax Relief Helpers has a reputation for getting things done faster that would be a plus.

A friend of mine mentioned they used Tax Relief Helpers and felt it was worth it for the guidance. They still had to pay but at least they were not lost in the system. Sometimes that peace of mind is what people are paying for.

Reviews can be helpful but i would also check if they have any complaints with the Better Business Bureau. That can give you an idea of how they handle unhappy clients. Tax Relief Helpers should have some track record by now.

I tried calling them once just to see what they would say. They walked me through potential options but did not push me too hard. That gave me a better impression compared to others who just wanted me to sign up on the spot.

I have noticed some companies use scare tactics, making it sound like the IRS is about to take everything you own. Hopefully Tax Relief Helpers doesn’t do that. If they keep it professional and calm that’s a better approach.

My opinion is that these companies work best if your tax situation is complicated. If it’s just a small amount of back taxes the IRS already has programs like installment agreements. Tax Relief Helpers might not be necessary in simpler cases.

If you are considering them make sure to ask for a clear contract. I have heard stories where people signed up thinking they’d get full representation but it turned out to be limited help. Transparency is everything here.

I know someone who used a tax relief company (not sure if it was this one) and they said it helped take away a lot of stress. They still owed money but at least they weren’t dealing with constant IRS letters. Maybe that’s the value.

Tax Relief Helpers might be fine but i would compare them with a couple of other companies before making a choice. Sometimes the differences are in the details like how they structure fees or what kind of cases they take on.

I had a consultation with them once. They seemed knowledgeable but the fee was pretty steep. It came down to whether i wanted to pay for peace of mind or handle the IRS myself. I decided to give it a try on my own first.
