Better Tax Relief
Posted by Zoe on September 6, 2025 at 9:54 amI have been looking into different companies that help with back taxes, liens and IRS negotiations and i came across a company called Better Tax Relief. From what I’ve read they claim to specialize in reducing tax debt, stopping garnishments and setting up affordable payment plans.
Has anyone here actually worked with them? Did they deliver on their promises or is it just the same process you could handle directly with the IRS? I’m trying to figure out if it’s worth paying for their services or if I should keep searching for other options.

I used Better Tax Relief last year when I was behind on filings. They did manage to stop the wage garnishments quickly but the fees were higher than I expected. overall i felt relieved but I wonder if i could have worked something out with the IRS myself.

My cousin worked with them and said it was a mixed experience. The company kept in touch and handled all the communication but the settlement wasn’t as low as he hoped. It still gave him peace of mind though.

I almost signed up with them but backed out after reading the contract closely. There were a lot of upfront fees that made me nervous. I ended up calling the IRS directly and set up a payment plan without paying extra.

They did help me with my back taxes but the process was slow. I kept following up because it felt like my case wasn’t a priority. Still the end result was better than nothing since they negotiated smaller payments.

I didn’t hire them but i did a consultation. The rep explained the programs pretty well but i realized most of it i could do myself online with the IRS. For me it wasn’t worth the cost.

I worked with them about two years ago. They were professional and responsive and i liked that they handled all the paperwork. The downside was the price tag but they did stop the collection notices.

A friend recommended them to me. He said they reduced his tax debt but it was not as dramatic as the commercials make it sound. Still it helped him sleep better at night knowing someone was handling it.

My experience was decent overall. They communicated clearly and kept me updated. The fees stung a bit but i probably wouldn’t have been able to negotiate as confidently on my own.

I had a free consultation with them. The agent was nice but very salesy which put me off. I didn’t end up hiring them and just worked directly with the IRS instead.

They were able to get my tax lien released which was a huge relief. It did take months and a lot of paperwork but the outcome was positive. I’d say it depends on how much patience you have to do it yourself.

I felt like they did what they promised but not much more. They set me up with a payment plan and stopped the IRS calls. Honestly i probably could have arranged that myself.

I had a bad experience. They promised to get me a big reduction but in the end i still owed most of the balance. The only thing i got out of it was time and less stress dealing with the IRS directly.

My brother used them when he was behind on payroll taxes. They got him into compliance and negotiated a schedule with the IRS. He said it was expensive but worth it for the business to stay afloat.

I looked into Better Tax Relief and other companies too. From what I learned the services are pretty similar across the board. It really comes down to whether you want to pay someone to deal with the IRS for you.

They were honest with me that not everyone qualifies for big reductions. I appreciated that transparency. In my case i only got a payment plan but they made the process smoother.
