I still feel a bit uneasy trusting all my personal info to an online platform. Even though they claim to be secure i can’t help but wonder what happens if there is a data breach. That’s the only thing holding me back.

One problem i ran into was hidden fees. Everything looked free until the very last step then suddenly there was a charge for state filing. Felt like a bait-and-switch which was frustrating.

Online filing is convenient but it’s not perfect. Sometimes the explanations are not detailed enough and i end up googling things on the side. It works fine for basic returns though.

I used an online service once and while it was fast i wasn’t confident I did everything right. I kind of missed having someone there to double-check. Might stick to a pro next time.

The platforms are good for simple taxes but if your situation is complicated i think they can feel limiting. I had multiple income sources and the process got a little confusing. Still it’s better than paper forms.

I actually enjoy filing online now because it feels less stressful. The layout is simple and it explains things in plain words instead of confusing tax terms. It’s way less intimidating than i expected.

For me the biggest win was getting my refund so fast. It was in my account within a couple of weeks. I don’t think i will ever go back to mailing forms after that.
