How Much Does It Cost to File With H&R Block In-Person
Every year when tax season comes around i see a lot of people debating whether to go with online software or meet someone in person. Lately i have been curious about how much does it cost to file with H&R Block in-person. It feels like the price is not always straightforward because it really depends on the type of return you have.
From what i understand, H&R Block usually has a base fee for a simple return but once you start adding things like multiple W-2s, self-employment income, or itemized deductions, the charges keep going up. I have heard of people paying anywhere from just under a hundred dollars to several hundred by the time everything is done.
The main advantage seems to be sitting across the table from someone who knows the tax rules inside and out. They can answer your questions, help you claim credits, and make sure nothing gets overlooked. Of course, that level of service does not come cheap and that is what makes me wonder if the extra cost is really justified compared to online filing.
Has anyone here gone to H&R Block recently and can share what their actual in-person costs were?
