Online filing is fine if you have patience and dont mind reading through instructions. But for someone like me who hates dealing with numbers paying a pro is the better choice. I would rather hand it off and be stress free.

I tried doing paper filing once and it was such a headache. Between the forms the math and mailing everything i swore I would never do it again. Ever since then i have been using online filing and it’s been smooth sailing.

I go with a tax preparer mainly because they give me advice for the future not just this year. They point out things i should save or track for next time. That kind of planning isn’t something software can replace.

Online filing is cheaper faster and honestly kind of foolproof. Unless you r juggling multiple incomes businesses or investments i don’t see a reason to complicate it. I have never had an issue with mine and i finish it in under an hour.

Some states actually offer free online filing programs that work pretty well. I have used those instead of paying for third party software. It’s nice not to spend extra money just to submit something i already owe taxes on.

I used to pay someone every year out of habit. Then i realized my situation wasn’t complicated at all so i gave online filing a try. It was quick easy and saved me a good amount of money. Have not looked back since.

Since i run a small business there is no way i would risk filing on my own. The rules around expenses and deductions can get tricky. A professional makes sure i don’t miss anything and keeps me safe in case of an audit.

I don not really trust putting all my sensitive info online so i either file on paper or go through a local tax preparer. At least then i feel like my data is more secure. I know most people file online now but I’m cautious.
