I have been hearing about Cash App Taxes lately and i wanted to ask if anyone here has actually used it. Every year i feel like the cost of filing goes up especially with places like TurboTax or H&R Block. Even the so called free versions end up charging extra once you get deeper into the process. Someone mentioned to me that Cash App Taxes is truly free covering both federal and state returns without adding surprise fees at the end. That sounds almost too good to be true, which makes me wonder if it is really worth trusting.
The main thing i am trying to figure out is if Cash App Taxes is legit. I do not want to spend time entering everything only to find out there are issues when filing. I also want to make sure it can handle things like common deductions, dependents, and maybe even side income if needed. Security is another big factor for me since it is tied in with Cash App, and i want to know if my personal and tax information is protected the same way as with the bigger platforms.
If anyone here has personal experience using it how did it go for you? Did the process feel smooth and accurate? Did you run into any hidden limits or problems? I would really like to hear from people who actually filed with it, just to know whether this is a solid alternative to the bigger names or if I am better off sticking to what i have been using.

I used Cash App Taxes this past year and it was honestly better than i expected. The filing was free for both federal and state and there were no surprise charges at the end. It covered my W-2, a couple of credits and my child deduction without issues. The interface is a bit more basic than TurboTax, but it worked just fine. I got my refund in the same timeframe as when i used H&R Block.
