The good thing about Credit Karma Tax is that it is not just for one type of filer. I used it when i only had W-2 income, and later when i had some self employment income as well. Both times it worked fine. It guided me through the self employment section without being confusing. I would not call it perfect, but for free software it definitely delivers. I feel that it does not get enough credit compared to the paid brands.
