If the lawsuit is about pricing transparency then i think it is justified. A lot of people use HR Block because they trust the brand. So if they were not honest about the costs it breaks that trust. I hope they make changes to regain people’s confidence.

I was hesitant to try TaxSlayer because i thought low cost meant low quality. But it proved me wrong. The process was easy and my refund was deposited quickly. It felt just as professional as more expensive options.

I think TurboTax still wins for user experience. The interface, explanations and visuals are just smoother. But FreeTaxUSA is unbeatable when it comes to pricing. If you are confident with your tax info, the cheaper option makes more sense.
