I have used HR Block for years and i have mixed feelings about this whole thing. Their software works great but i did notice the pricing seemed to change right before checkout. It felt like i was being upsold for things i did not really need. If that is what this lawsuit is about then i can see why people are upset.

I switched from H&R Block to TaxSlayer because of the cost difference. It felt a bit simpler but still covered all the sections i needed. The best part was that i did not have to pay extra for things like W-2 uploads. It might not hold your hand as much but it is straightforward and quick.

The biggest difference for me was cost. TurboTax started cheap but got expensive once i added my state return and self-employment forms. TaxAct was much more affordable. If you are doing a simple return, TaxAct makes more sense in my opinion.

Yes, Cash App Taxes is legit. I filed through it last season and everything went smoothly. I was hesitant at first since i thought free usually means limited, but they really did not charge me anything. The return was accepted quickly and my refund came through as expected. I would say it is worth trying if you are tired of paying high filing fees.

I used the Walmart location and it was surprisingly fine. The setup was small but the lady helping me seemed experienced and professional. I was a little skeptical about doing taxes inside a store but it worked out. The convenience of being able to file while shopping was actually nice. I think it comes down more to who your preparer is than the location.

I used to only trust TurboTax but last year i tried Taxslayer because of the price difference. Honestly, i couldn’t tell much of a difference in how my return was handled. Everything was accepted, and i didn’t feel like i was missing anything important.

I have been using TaxAct for about three years now and i can say it works fine for straightforward tax returns. It covers both federal and state and i have never had problems with accuracy. The only thing i noticed is that the interface feels a little plain compared to other programs. Still if you want to save money, it gets the job done.

TurboTax has always impressed me with how simple it makes the process. Even when i had a complicated return it walked me through step by step without much stress. But i do agree the price tag is high. TaxSlayer is tempting just because i do not need all the hand holding anymore.

My experience lines up with yours. It’s super easy for people like me who only have W-2s and a little freelance income. The navigation is clear and I never felt lost while entering my info. I did notice it does not go into detail with deductions the way TurboTax does, but that was not a dealbreaker. For free, you really can’t complain much.…

I was skeptical about FreeTaxUSA too but after giving it a shot i realized it’s actually solid. The interface isn’t as fancy as TurboTax, but it gets the job done. Accuracy was not an issue at all for me and i received confirmation from the IRS pretty quickly. If you want budget friendly it’s worth it.
