I don’t think FreeTaxUSA fits every situation but if you have a simple return it is definitely worth it. I only had W-2 income and a couple of deductions and the software handled it without any issues. For the low cost it really felt like i was getting a solid deal.

H&R Block might not have the flashiest software but i trust them more overall. Knowing they have been around forever and have actual people behind the brand gives me peace of mind. TurboTax is great but at the end of the day, sometimes you want that human touch. That’s what tips the scale for me.
