My experience with them was solid overall. Nothing over the top amazing, but also nothing went wrong. They got my taxes done, answered my questions and filed everything without issues. I think Jackson Hewitt is most useful for people with more complicated taxes. If you just have one job and nothing else you could probably save money by filing yourself. But if you have got kids, multiple jobs or side income they make it easier. They know what to look for and help you maximize your refund. It’s about matching the service to your situation.
